Mental Resilience

As a first responder, adversity and setbacks became a learning opportunity that helped me sharpen my skills for the next emergency. I help leaders develop that same resilience so that they view difficult moments as a way to practice a new approach.

As a fire captain and paramedic, I trained on decision making in advance of critical life or death decisions in emergency situations. In those moments you have to be prepared or things can get chaotic. I’ve helped hundreds of executives become more effective at making decisions and having a command presence in meetings and conversations. We will explore the context of some of the interactions you have experienced so that you are clear on why they land with you in a way that creates distress. I want you to embrace future interactions from a experiential point of view so that you are able to practice new skills and understand other people's perspective better. In subsequent sessions, I want you to report back with what you learned and how some of those interactions transpired.

Resilience coaching is designed to develop a plan for making critical decisions and creating mental and emotional agility. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Improved self-confidence.

  • Understanding the root cause of people pleasing and how it impacts your decisions.

  • Reframing challenging experiences so that you are equipped for the next situation.

  • Recognizing how your decisions affect your outcomes.

  • Applying mindfulness and clarity to your decisions.

  • Training your mind to prepare for intense situations that require focus and clarity.

  • Changing your internal narrative so that are clear, calm and confident.
